John Morris Obituary

John Morris, born on June 9, 1940, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 84. He was the beloved son of Adelaide Morris and Victor Morris and the eldest of five siblings. He was raised in Farmington Hills, Michigan. John spent his youth working on a golf course and discovering his passion for music. He loved playing his mandolin and guitar while singing with friends and family.
John married and raised his four children, Sean, Doug, Michelle, and Monique in a suburb of Detroit. Known for his restless spirit, John enjoyed traveling and outdoor activities such as sailboat racing, long-distance marathons, and cross-country skiing. His career took him from Cleveland, Ohio, to Houston, Texas, where he became one of the top salesmen in broadcast sales.
John married the love of his life, Bobbie Morris, in 1986 and gained two daughters, Stacy and Kelly. Together, Bobbie and John traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada in their fifth wheel, attending bluegrass festivals and experiencing many fun adventures.
John is preceded in death by his mother, Madelaine Morris; his father, Victor Morris; his sister, Carol; and his brothers, Andy and Steve. He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Morris; his children, Sean Morris, Doug Morris, Michelle and Tom Northrup, Monique and Tony Castillo; his brother, Mike Morris; his stepchildren, Stacy and Craig Hodges, Kelly Hendrickson; and his grandchildren, Hayden and Alexandria Northrup, Hanna and Connor Hodges.
John's life was filled with adventure, love, and music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
