John Dean Ryerson, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Pelham, NC on March 28, 2025. Born on December 19, 1944, John was a hardworking individual who dedicated over 50 years of his life to his career as an electrician.
John was the proud owner of Ryerson's Electrical Service in New Jersey and served as President of the Four County Electrical Contractors Association from 1982 to 1984. He went on to be President of the New Jersey State Council of Electrical Contractors from 1984 to 1985. He was also a member of the New Jersey National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Roy Ryerson and Louise Ryerson; and two brothers, Roy Ryerson and William Ryerson.
John is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ryerson, his children Lisa Marotto, Leslie Seate (Kelly), and John Michael Ryerson (Jennifer), as well as five grandchildren Stefanie Marotto, Nicholas Wilkins, Holly Seate, Jake Ryerson, and Josh Ryerson, and his great-grandson Aiden Moore. He is also survived by his siblings Louise Buskey, Susan Piscitello, Carol Talyczak, George Ryerson, and James Ryerson, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held by the immediate family to honor the life and legacy of John Dean Ryerson.
