John Swanson Obituary
April 24, 1953 - April 13, 2025
John Erick Swanson was born April 24, 1953, in Missoula, Mont. and passed at age 71 on April 13, 2025, in Missoula. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon E. Swanson, and his mother, Ina M. Swanson. He is survived by his sister, Linnea Kahler (Roger); sister, Cheryl Galipeau Lucas (Rick), all of Missoula along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A family burial has already taken place, and a memorial service to honor John's life will be held on June 7, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 830 South Ave W, Missoula. All who knew and loved him are welcome. Full obituary is available at gardencityfh.com.

John was one of those rare employee who always did more than was expected of him. I am also proud to call him a friend that went to Osprey games with and a couple of fun trips to Columbia Falls to the Water Slide. Rest in peace my friend.

John was one of those rare employee who always did above and beyond what was asked of him. Besides being a great Letter Carrier, I was delighted to count him among my friends. I will miss "Little John" and wish him loving peace!
