Graveside Service for Johnnie Lee Collier will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday - Sunday at Sevier Funeral Home. Johnnie Lee Collier passed from this life on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at his home in Alex, OK at the age of 76. He was born on November 11, 1948 in Chickasha, OK to Johnny and Leona Collier. Johnnie grew up in Alex, OK and lived there his entire life. He graduated from Alex High School. He met the love of his life, Gayla, at the Family Center and they married on July 2, 1976 at the First Baptist Church in Alex. They were blessed with their son, Keith Collier. Johnnie worked for Gabriel for 30 years, and he farmed all of his life. He loved anything to do with the farm. He enjoyed feeding wild animals. He was an avid gun collector. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandsons. Everyone knew him by Cowboy and he never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Leona Collier; his grandparents; his brother-in-law and his sister-in-law, Burl Ward and Glenda Ward. Loved ones left to remember him include his wife of the home, Gayla Collier; his son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jenifer Collier of Rush Spring, OK; grandsons: John Collier and Jacob Collier; niece and her husband, Jana and Darrel Pelley of Marlow, OK; great nephews, Kyle Pelley and wife, Bailey, and Tyler Pelley; and great-great-nephew, Archer Pelley as well as many 'adopted' grandkids.
