Johnnie Lee Jordan, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 64 in Montgomery, AL on March 7,2025. Johnnie grew up in Greenville, Alabama, and attended Aberdeen High School, where he developed a lifelong love for sports. He was a devoted Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco 49ers fan, always ready to watch the game whether at home or playing his favorite video game, Tecmo Bowl, where he was known to bend the rules just to win.
For 25 years, Johnnie worked as a dedicated truck driver, traveling countless miles and forming lasting connections along the way. In his free time, he found joy in fishing, spending time with family, and making memories filled with laughter and love. Johnnie shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Mary Glover, who stood by his side through every step of their journey together.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his loving parents, Vera Jordan and Zeama Jordan, and his sister, Rose Gilliam. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his family, including his devoted siblings: Victoria (Terry) Miller, Pamela (David) Jones, and Michael (Kathy) Jordan.
He is also survived by his beloved daughter, Amber Jordan, and stepdaughter, Ramona Holloway. Johnnie was a proud grandfather to Latea Williams-Good, Jaron Walker, Jeremy Walker, and Jasmine Walker, and a loving great-grandfather to Jazon Walker, Jishon Good, Yahmier Williams, Jiyah Good, A'maryé Walker, Jeremy Walker Jr., and Sokiya Walker.
Johnnie's life was enriched by the love of his extended family, including his special aunt, Thera Coleman, and his uncle and aunt, Henry (Carrie) Hawthorne. A dear friend to many, Elethiana "Tawana" Gaylord was a special friend to Johnnie and remained close to the family throughout the years. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Johnnie's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Though he has departed from this world, his love, laughter, and the memories he created will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, Johnnie Lee Jordan. You will always be remembered.
