Shipman's Funeral & Cremation ServiceJohnny Wayne Moore, Jr., 57, of Pryor, passed away on July 14, 2025, in Tulsa. He was born in Pryor to Johnny Wayne Moore, Sr. and Judy (Loyd). Johnny was the kind of man who didn't shy away from hard work. He spent over a year with 7 H Construction, and before that worked with Clint Pursley, running heavy equipment — something he truly enjoyed. He also put in many miles behind the wheel as a truck driver. He served in the United States Army National Guard, proud to do his part. Away from work, he liked to keep things simple: fishing, camping, watching races at Salina High banks Speedway, and cracking open a cold Bud Light. But if you really wanted to see him light up, just mention his grandkids. They were the center of his world, and he made sure they knew it. Johnny’s life was about working hard, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family. He’ll be remembered for being straightforward, loyal, and always ready to share a laugh and a beer with a friend.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Regan Wood and husband Gabe of Big Cabin, Oklahoma; mother, Judy Moore of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Charlie Moore of Pryor, Oklahoma and Clifford Chamberlain and wife Janice of Pryor, Oklahoma; sisters, Gena Waldeck and husband Steve of Pryor, Oklahoma and Susie Jo Moore of Pryor, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wayne Moore, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Bishop Michael Webber officiating. Burial will follow in the Benge Cemetery with Dale Waldeck, Tayten Crockett, Gabe Wood, Charlie Moore, Cliff Chamberlain, and Kenny Moore serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Matthew Waldeck, Dwight Smith and Brandon Hash. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2025, at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor.
