Jon Lamont Burnette, age 84, a Lehigh, OK resident. He was born on Sunday, June 15, 1941, to John L. and Wilma Lee (McVeay) Burnett, at Los Angeles, CA. Jon passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Ada, OK. Jon graduated from Susan B. Dorsey High School. Jon was self-employed. He owned and ran Yellow Rose Farm & Equine Transport. Jon was married ten times, a testament to his persistent search for companionship. Eventually settling with his common-law wife of 33 years, Elizabeth Mary Talley, before her passing. Together in union, they shared a significant part of his life's journey. Jon was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. He enjoyed listening to music, traveling, and telling stories. He loved riding bulls and horses.
Jon is survived by his daughters, Jonetta Burnette of Los Angeles, CA, Jasmine Burnette of Lehigh, OK, Jerrica Burnette and fiance Jason Hokett of Atoka, OK; grandkids, Eryca, Justin, Axl, Domanyk, Geovanni, Colt, Elizabeth, Harlow, Bailey, Paisley; along with numerous other relatives and host of friends.
Jon was preceded in death by his wives, Elizabeth Mary Talley, Anna Anderson; parents, John L. and Wilma Lee (McVeay) Burnett.
