Jonathon was born on June 21, 1989 in Norfolk, Virginia. He was the son of William Burkett and Valorie Manning Burkett.
In 2005, Jonathon and his family moved to Wyoming where he resided in the town of Lyman.
He was a man of many talents ranging from construction to roofing and much more. He enjoyed being outdoors, rock hunting and hiking. All his nieces and nephews loved him and were always excited to see him because of his frolicsome personality.
He had an extremely king heart with an altruistic soul. If he could not provide you with what you needed, he would instead offer his time and labor. He’d always lend an ear for those who needed someone to listen with an empathic heart, as he knew how it felt to have so much to say yet not have anyone to heed and understand.
Jonathon is survived by his parents, William and Valerie Manning Burkett of Lyman; grandparent Virginia Burkett; his four siblings, Alicia Major, William Burkett II, Maria Binkerd and Mary Burkett; 9 nieces and nephews, Alanis Major, Wyatt Major, Naomi Burkett, Alliya Lacy, William Burkett III, Nuna Binkerd, Ella Binkerd, Robert Binkerd VI, Hudson Stiles, Sarah Whitehurst and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jonathon was preceded in death by Thomas Leroy Burkett, Annabelle Lee Manning, George Raymond Sparrow, Debra Ann Manning, William Charles Cady, Christopher Eugene Bassett and Bynum Whitehurst.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Heart of the Valley Baptist Church in Mountain View, WY with a viewing starting at 10:00 AM.
All friends and family are welcome to come celebrate his life and lay him to rest.
