Jose Escamilla Obituary

Jose Escamilla III, a longtime resident of Watsonville, passed away on July 10, 2025. He was 55 years old. Jose was born on November 20, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, the Windy City, to his proud parents Jose and Eduviges Escamilla. Eventually, his family traveled to California and settled in Watsonville. After graduating from high school, he pursued higher education and obtained a master's degree in Mexico, and a bachelor's degree here in the US. Jose dedicated most of his adult life to and built his career around education, becoming a university professor. Even in his spare time, Jose loved learning, spending his time reading books on various subjects. Jose is survived by his devoted mother Eduviges L. Escamilla, his loving sister Maritza Escamilla, his niece Miranda Guerrero-Escamilla, and his nephew Alberto Guerrero-Escamilla. He was preceded in death by his father Jose Escamilla, and his beloved dog Bandit. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Mehl's Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Jose nacio el 20 de noviembre, 1969 en Chicago, Illinois, La Cuidad de Los Vientos, a sus orgullosos padres Jose y Eduviges Escamilla. Al tiempo, viajaron a California, y se establecieron en Watsonville. Tras graduarse de la preparatoria, curso estudios superiores y obtuvo una maestria en Mexico y una licenciatura en Estados Unidos. Escamilla; su querida hermana, Maritza Escamilla; su sobrina Mirando Guerrero-Escamilla; y su sobrino, Alberto Guerrero-Escamilla. Le precedieron en la Muerte, su padre, Jose Escamilla, y su querida mascota Bandit. Su familia y amigos lo extrañaran profundamente.
