Amber Williams Obituary

Amber Kaye Williams, 42, passed away peacefully in her home on September 20, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply.
Amber was the light in every room, her laughter and warmth wrapping around everyone she met. She never knew a stranger. If you knew her, you loved her. At just 16, Amber met the love of her life, Payton Williams. Together, they shared 26 years of marriage, a bond built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Their love was the kind that lit up a lifetime.
The greatest joy of Amber's life was becoming a mother. Her daughter, Madison Kaye Williams, was the heart of her world, and Amber poured every ounce of love she had into her. To her, being a wife and mother wasn't just a role-it was her proudest calling.
Amber was also the eldest of four siblings, and she carried that title with honor. She adored her brothers and sister and always made sure they knew how deeply they were loved. Her arms, her words, and her laughter were constant reminders that family was the center of her soul.
Amber is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry Hilliard of Odessa, TX. She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Payton Williams of Odessa; her beloved daughter, Madison Williams of Odessa and boyfriend Anthony; her grandmother, Betty Hilliard of Odessa; her mother, Cylina Wharton of Odessa; her father, Raymond Freels, and stepmother, Becky Freels, of Odessa; her brothers, Jerry Freels of Odessa and Cody Freels and wife Destiny of Midland; her sister, Sarah Riley and husband Parker of Midland; stepbrother Buddy Short of Corpus Christi; and stepsister Sharee Short of Odessa. Amber also had numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Amber's legacy is one of love-love for her family, for her friends, and for life itself. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.
