Born August 18, 1944 in Greenville, WV she was the daughter of the late Joseph Eugene and Virginia Marie Canterbury Mann.
Joyce graduated from Greenville High School and worked as a LPN for many years in the area. Joyce was a member of the Wikel Community Church and recently had attended New Hope Tabernacle in Union, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Christian and a granddaughter Tristyn Comer.
The memory of her life will be remembered by her husband of 62 years, McKinley (Kenny) Christian, her four children: Sarah Riffe (Carlton), David Christian (Melinda), Keith Christian (Cindy) and Brenda French (Joe). Grandson Brian Comer (Leta) their children Tannley Jo, Tucker, Tate, Ty, Tory, Truvy, Grandson Brandon Comer (Debra) and children Lily, Lelan, Grandson Brad Comer (Rachel) and children McKinley, Benjamin, Stihl, Addy, Granddaughter Krystal Furrow (JJ) and children Bennie Ray, Waylon, Ryker, Granddaughter McKinna Christian (Dalton) and Great Grandaughter, Natalie (due soon) Granddaughter Kayla Christian (Wesley), Granddaughter Karissa Dunn (Wayne) and children Ean, Brelyn, Granddaughter Kelsey Christian (John) Kensley, Grandson Heath Christian, Granddaughter Abigail Page (Jacob) and children Christian, Walker, Granddaughter Maggie Page (Kaleb) Granddaughter Alley French, Grandson Brayden French. Three brothers: James Mann (Sherry) of Wikel, Dickie Mann of Lindside, WV and Freddie Mann of Frametown, WV and cherished aunt, Eurcell Broyles. Numerous brother and sister in laws, nephews, nieces and freinds.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Lindside Christian Church with Pastor Phillip Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Wikel, WV. Family will receive friends from 11:30 AM till time of service at the church. Brian Comer, Brandon Comer, Brad Comer, Heath Christian, David Christian, Keith Christian will serve as pallbearers.

To the family of Joyce Christian: Jean and I were so sorry to hear of the passing of our long-time friend and sister in Christ. We have known and loved her for many years. We are so very sorry that we will not be able to attend the funeral or the visitation. Our Church has scheduled our once a year special services for this weekend and will be meeting both Saturday and Sunday. May the grace of God be with you, the family, in this trying time.
