Joyce Gendron Obituary

Joyce E. Gendron, 93, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital.
She was born on October 6, 1931, in Niagara, WI, the daughter of the late Jack Bracke and Mary Lagina. She attended and graduated from the Niagara Schools, with the Class of 1949. She worked in sales for several years.
Joyce married William W. Gendron on January 27, 1951, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Niagara, and the couple celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in 2022. William preceded her in death on November 13, 2022.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, the Altar Society and the Rosary Sodality. Joyce enjoyed working in her rock garden flowers and saving pictures and cards. Joyce was the most kind and tender-hearted individual that anyone would hope to meet. She will be greatly missed by many.
Joyce is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Darlene) Gendron of Iron River, MI; daughters, Debra Gendron of Florida, and Shelley (Mitchell Leinen) Gendron of Niagara, WI; brother, Jack; sisters, Sue and Margaret; four granddaughters, Megan (Jamie) Palmer, Lindsay Oystrick, Shannon (Scott) Sanders, and Stacey Johnson; six great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons; and extended family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, George.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, with Rev. Daniel Fosu to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
