Judith "Judy" Ellen Akridge, of Rolla, MO, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 75.
She was born on February 1, 1950, in Rolla, MO, to the late Archie Doyle Feeler and Maxine Iva (Williams) Feeler. She married the late Joseph Leon Akridge on May 15, 1982.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by one son, Michael Joseph Akridge, two brothers, Vernon Mark Feeler and Wayne Edward Feeler, Sr.
Judy was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and neighbor. She was a dedicated member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, where she devoted her heart to serving others in the name of Christ. Her passion for helping those around her was evident in everything she did. She was also a proud member of a gospel singing group, sharing her love of music and faith with others. Judith served as the secretary for First Baptist Church in Vienna, and her work with the bus ministry at Believers Chapel in Ellington brought joy to many. Her life was a testament to kindness, faith, and an unwavering commitment to serving her community.
Judy will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: her children, Tammy Hayes and husband David of Rolla, MO, Tony Rowe and wife Lisa of Rolla, MO, Troy Rowe of Rolla, MO; one brother, Russell Feeler of Walnut Grove, MO; two sisters, Connie Elrod and husband Dwayne of Rolla, MO, Mary Kaye Sutton and husband Paul of Rolla, MO; nine grandchildren, Joey (Stephanie), Joshua (Laura), Cody, Justin, Ashlyne (Travis), Zach, Nathan, Chase, Lizzy (Isaac), Gunner; and eight great grandchildren, Jay, Axel, Delilah, Makynlee, Marlo, Dylan, Vinnie, and Charlotte.
A funeral service for Judith E. Akridge will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Spring Creek Baptist Church in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Ballance Cemetery in Maries County, MO. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Phelps County Cowboy Church, P.O. Box 97, St. James, MO 65559.
