Judith Ann "Judee" Frank Biddlecomb, 76, of RD Philipsburg, died Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Wynwood House at Green Hills Village, State College.
Judith was born on May 26, 1948, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late John "Yuk" and Mary Helen (Pleskonko) Ellis.
"Judee" as she was known by her friends and family, was a 1966 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. She was her class Valedictorian.
Following high school, she attended the Altoona School of Nursing.
During her working career, she was employed as a school bus driver for Long Motor Buses, Philipsburg; and as a travel agent for World of Travel, Clearfield.
Though she enjoyed traveling; her true passion in life was caring for her dogs and cats. Judee grew up raising and showing beagles. When she was a bit older, she then began breeding, raising and showing English Cocker Spaniels. She owned and operated her own business, Wedgewood Kennels, where she groomed and boarded dogs for many years. Later on in her career, she began breeding, raising and showing Serval, Bengal and Sphinx cats. She was also credited with breeding the very first Savannah Cat, aptly named "Savannah," on April 7, 1986. The last breed that she enjoyed working with are known as "Munchkin" cats.
Judee was married in December 2008 to Ralph Biddlecomb. Ralph preceded her in death on July 30, 2012.
She was also preceded in death by her former husband, John W. "Jack" Frank, Jr. and a brother, John G. Ellis, in addition to her parents.
Judee is survived by her son, Stephen M. Frank and his wife, Tracy, of RD Philipsburg; two granddaughters, Haley Frank and her companion, Colton Comly, of Howard and Camryn Bumbarger and her husband, Stephen, of Philipsburg; two great-grandsons, Walker and Wade Comly, of Howard; a sister-in-law, Pat Ellis (formerly of Tyrone); a (former) brother-in-law, Melvin Frank and his wife, Kay, of RD Philipsburg; and numerous other extended family members.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Judee's memory to the Moshannon Valley YMCA, P.O. Box 426, Philipsburg, Pa 16866.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Philipsburg. Online condolences and memories may be shared at.
