Judith Miriam Lichatowich Meirow
Aurora, Oregon
November 10, 1961 – May 25, 2025
Judy Meirow was born in South Bend, Indiana. She moved to Oregon in 1970, attended Regis St. Mary Catholic school in Stayton, and graduated from North Marion High School in Aurora in 1980. She married Jim Meirow in 1982. She passed away while on vacation with her family near Huntington, Oregon at the age of 64.
She leaves a legacy of painting and teaching in the Tole painting style. She loved and was devoted to her family and enjoyed being serenaded with music by her sons on special occasions. Jim and Judy were constantly together and had many adventures in their RV and vacation homes.
Judy and Jim were married 42 years and had four sons, Andrew Meirow, Kyle Meirow, Jeffrey Meirow (deceased infant) and James Meirow Jr. She was devoted to her grandson Theo Meirow. Siblings include Jim Lichatowich (deceased) (Paulette), Miriam (Ron) Ramsey, Tom (Lisa) Lichatowich, Betsy Mayhar, Joanne (Ted) Peters, Joseph Lichatowich, Timothy J. Lichatowich, and William Lichatowich.
Nieces and nephews are Mary Vrontakis, Irene Rodegerdts, Josephine Hanta, Elizabeth (Liz) Lichatowich, Amy Ramsey Gianella, Thomas Ramsey, Annie Peters Bremner, Sarah Jo Lichatowich, Brian Mayhar, Angie Lichatowich.
She was preceded in death by her infant son Jeffrey, and parents August J. Lichatowich and Irene Penkala Lichatowich.
Funeral service will be at St. Paul Catholic Church (St. Paul, Oregon) on June 5, 2025 at 1pm.
