Judith Ann "Judy" Welshans, 66, a loving mother of three, passed away peacefully at her home in the early hours of Tuesday June 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 5, 1959, in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of the late Charles Newton Welshans and Phyllis JoAnne Rae (Fulkrod) Welshans.
Judy grew up surrounded by a large family with eight siblings. She resided in Terra Alta, WV, with her best friend Frances Pritt, who Judy loved dearly. They had been best friends and inseparable for years. Judy was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, which she incorporated into her motherhood. As a mother and grandmother, she was generous, loving and kind. She was always there to help and support her family and spoiled them as much as she possibly could. Judy recently became a great grandmother to two little boys and was absolutely thrilled about her family growing even bigger. In her free time, Judy loved to play board games, sit on her porch and drink her coffee and smoke her cigarettes, but more than anything she cherished spending time with her family. Judy loved her cat Rosie, and they would always take the best naps together.
Judy is survived by her three children, Nicole Wiles, Mascilla Teter, and David Teter; son-in-law, Ricky Lantz; grandchildren, Natasha Wiles McMillen (Tyler), Timothy Wiles Jr. (Lindsay), Logan Lantz, LillyKate Lantz (Joey), and Jasmine Teter; two special great grandchildren, Waylon McMillen and Bentley Lantz.
Judy met her Lord and Savior and parents in heaven, she also joined her siblings, Charles, Byron, Lori, and Diane, and her son-in-law, Timothy Wiles Sr.
She will be greatly missed by her family who adored her with all their hearts.
To honor her wishes, compassionate and professional cremation services will be provided by the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, WV.
Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.arthurwrightfuneralhome.com
