Mrs. Judy Ann Shipp Ardwin, age 72, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, May 16, 2025, in CHI St. Vincent Hospital, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She was born to Robert and Thelma Louise McCorkle Shipp in Hope, Arkansas on September 15, 1952. She worked several years for Dairy De Queen and in retail management for EZ Mart, Texaco, and Exxon prior to her retirement. She enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, digging for crystals, fishing and camping with her family. She was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Hope. Judy loved her God and was a faithful member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Shipp and Louise McCorkle White, a son, Bart Hill, and a sister, Joan Crouse.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of almost 39 years, Aubrey Ray Ardwin of Gillham, Arkansas; four sons, Corey Hill of Gillham, Stacey Hill of Grannis, Arkansas, Casey Hill of Cove, Arkansas, and Jason Ardwin of Y City, Arkansas; one daughter, Tammy Bishop of Texarkana; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Powell of Hope, Arkansas; nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Judy Ardwin will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 23, 2025, at Overturf Cemetery in Gillham, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel.
