Judy Lee Rollins-Walton was born on May 31, 1985, in the dynamic city of Seoul, South Korea at the U.S. Yongsan Army Base and left this world on December 8, 2024, in the city of Poplarville, Mississippi while visiting for the holidays. At just 39 years young, she made a big impression on the people around her.
Judy grew up surrounded by love as the adored daughter of Dean and Lee Rollins. She was also the beloved granddaughter of Larry and Rachel Rollins, and cherished by her extended Korean family overseas. In Korea, she had a close, embracing extended family who enfolded her in their hearts. Within days of celebrating her traditional 100th-day birthday, Judy and her family relocated to the United States and settled in the tight-knit community of Blackfoot, Idaho, where she thrived. In 1988, her family became bigger and more complete with the addition of her younger sister, Dana. An inseparable bond between sisters grew, one rooted in love and lifelong friendship.
Judy was a very caring and nurturing soul who always found pleasure in the uplifting and taking care of her loved ones. Her heart was filled with devotion for her two sons, Noah, born in 2005, and Zen, born in 2007. She cherished every moment spent with them and hoped for their happiness and success as they navigated life's journey.
A creative woman, Judy found her refuge in writing in a journal where thoughts and emotions flowed from her inner self onto the pages. She had a deep love for music, enjoying a great variety of genres and finding beauty in every note and lyric. Her laughter resonated within the rooms as she passed her time with her family while playing board games, viewing spine-chilling horror movies, and even sharing stories under the stars while camping. These moments were filled with laughter and love, thus forming treasured memories to be remembered for a lifetime.
During her college years, Judy briefly pursued the study of the human mind and its inner mechanisms. However, she concluded that the timing was not quite right to complete her degree. Her curiosity about human behavior and natural empathy shone through in her interactions with others, though, making her a confidante and source of support for many.
But first and foremost, the warmth of Judy's spirit, boundless creativity, and devotion to family have left their indelible mark on all of us who knew her. May her memory comfort those of us who loved her in the days ahead.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 3 2025 at Hawker Funeral Home.
