Judy Carolyn Wood, 74, of Thida, Arkansas, left for Gloryland on July 1, 2025. She was born in Batesville, AR on January 12, 1951, to Ben and Martha (Peters) Nieman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Larry Wood; her parents; and a son, James Robert Wood.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Troy) Bumpous of Thida, AR; her son, William (Tiffany) Wood of Thida, AR; a sister, Mary (Rigo) Ramos of Scott. AR; her grandchildren, Samuel Bumpous, Madelyn Fraser, Kerstie (Hayden) Metzger; great grandchildren, Charlotte Metzger and a baby boy Metzger on the way; niece and nephews, Chris, Kevin and Michael Wood, Sean and Amanda Fullerton; several other extended family members and friends.
Judy was a giving caring person. She loved crafts and flowers. Her favorite craft was of crocheting, she liked helping with the making of Christian T-shirts and Christmas ornaments. She loved doing things for people and gave away lots of her crochet items, jewelry, and sewing stuff among other things. She loved flowers so much that she could be driving down the road and see a flower she liked and would turn around to ask a stranger if she could get a start off of that flower and usually ending up with several different more.
A warm winter's day was rough on her because it would make her want to be outside and working in her flower beds. Judy was also a firm believer in Jesus Christ and would tell you all about Him if she got a chance, rather it be verbally or by wearing Christian T-shirts. Judy was very family oriented. She loved family gatherings and getting to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:00am on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Mack Chapel Cemetery in the Sulphur Rock Community, with Bro. Robert Hale officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Bradford.
