Junior Brown Bobo, age 92 of Fisher, WV, passed away Monday evening, April 14, 2025, at his residence. Born June 4, 1932, in Kessel, WV, Junior was the cherished son of the late James Marion Bobo and Grace Lee Kuykendall Bobo. He embarked on his life's journey as a steadfast farmer and dedicated family man, leaving behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of many.
A devoted husband for 67 wonderful years, Junior was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elva Mae Crites Bobo, in February 2022. He was also preceded by their son, Gary Bobo; a grandson, Ricky Bobo, Jr.; a son-in-law, Scott Ruddle; and siblings, James Omer Bobo, Ruth Mongold, Elva Lee Weese, Orpha Susan Moyers, and Mamie Ratcliff.
Junior's life was filled with laughter, love, and adventure. Known as an outdoorsman, he cherished his days in the wild, and his passion for farming exemplified his deep connection to the earth.
His spirit will continue to shine through his daughter, Debbie Ruddle; four sons, Doug (Kathy) Bobo, Rick (Denise) Bobo, Pete (Tina) Bobo & Mike Bobo all of Fisher, WV; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And we cannot forget his blue heeler farming companion, Buddy, and his indoor companion, his "grand dog" Coconut, whom he referred to as Pooch.
In celebration of his remarkable life, a graveside service will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Woerner-Hutter Cemetery in Fisher, WV, where loved ones will gather to share stories, remember cherished moments, and honor Junior's legacy. Pastor D. J. Taylor will officiate the service, guiding family and friends through a ceremony designed to reflect Junior’s warm spirit and enduring impact on those who knew him.
