Karen Marie Eberhardt, age 59, of Macomb, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her home on a warm summer evening, Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Born on June 11, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan, Karen was one of six beloved children of the late Lawrence and Beverly (Rydz) Eberhardt. From an early age, she embraced life with determination and joy despite being born with disabilities. Her warm spirit and vibrant personality made her a cherished participant in the workshops she attended, where she enjoyed bowling outings, arts and crafts, and the camaraderie of her community. Karen had a special gift for painting, and her canvas artwork will remain treasured keepsakes for her family. She loved a good board game-especially "Sorry" and "Uno"-often revealing her competitive streak while enjoying her favorite beverage of Mountain Dew. After dinner, she found comfort in her evening routine, faithfully watching her favorite shows: Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, and The Price Is Right. Karen received devoted care for many years from her sister Lori and brother-in-law Gary, whose love and support enriched her daily life. She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Lori (Gary Jr.) Poole, Thomas (Rachel) Eberhardt, John (Julie) Eberhardt, Diane Eberhardt, and Deborah (Al) Wilkinson. She was a proud and loving aunt to Nicole, Matthew (Asia), Gary III, Nicolas, Katelyn, Ronald, Cooper, and Vaughn, and a joyful presence in the lives of her great-nieces and nephews: Elena, Brooklyn, Matthew Jr., Myles, Michael and Melody (twins), and Max. Karen also leaves behind many friends and extended family members who will remember her with affection. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Beverly; her niece Jennifer; and her nephew Thomas Jr. Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, with a service at 4:00 pm. Share memories and sign the online guest book at www.vickfuneralhome.com
