Karen Lee (Miller) Hart passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3rd, in Union Gap, WA. Karen was born on October 2nd, 1941, to Clarence and Vi (Gorman) Miller in Toppenish, WA. She attended Moxee High School, where she met the tall, handsome Jim Hart. In 1958, Jim and Karen were married in Cowiche, WA, and together they welcomed three children: Andrea Lee, Richard James, and Christopher Robert. When her children grew older, Karen began working with Jim at the family business, Yakima Music, until they both retired in 2014.

Jim and Karen traveled extensively to many tropical destinations. She loved the beach and enjoyed family camping trips, particularly those near the coast or a casino. She enjoyed decorating for holidays, especially Christmas, and never missed a family birthday. She was a snappy dresser who loved reading, cheering on her Mariners and Seahawks, family meals at Golden Wheel and Sea Galley, scratch tickets, casinos, many dogs and cats, and most of all, her family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Hart; her son, Rich Hart; and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jim Hart; son, Chris Hart; daughter-in-law, Sheri Hart; sister, Debbie Miller; grandchildren, Heather Campbell, Kody Skinner, Kelsi (Taylor) Dailey, and James (Kendra) Hart; and great-grandchildren, Corbin, Braelen, Kaige, Fynnlie, Briar, Oaklyn, Gracelynn, and Rylee.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Landmark Care Center and Arcadia Medical Resort at Parkside for their kindness and care during her final days. A special thank you to Kevin, the 2-10 nurse at Arcadia. At her request, there will be no public service. Memories and words for the family can be shared on the Valley Hills Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yakima Humane Society.
