Karen Kirby Baumgarner Obituary

A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Baumgarner was the daughter of Sue Quarles Kirby and the late Marion Kirby. She retired from Walhalla Elementary School where she dedicated her life to helping teach with love and commitment. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Baumgarner will be remembered for her gentle kindness and light she brought to those around her.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Baumgarner is survived by her son: Ethan Baumgarner (Abby Lancaster) and sister: Kathy Carroll (Todd).
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM- 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Davenport Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_icid=header-btn-donate-now.
