Karen M. (Wagner) Phelps, age 74, of Webster, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Karen Wagner was born on December 8, 1950, in White Bear Lake, MN, the daughter of the late Robert and Corrinne (Letourneau) Wagner. She was raised in White Bear Lake and graduated from White Bear Lake High School. In September of 1969 she was married to George Phelps, Jr. in White Bear Lake. During his time in the military, they lived in Louisiana and Florida before settling in Webster, WI, when his tour was finished. She was a devoted wife and mother staying home with her children and then working various jobs once they were older. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, fishing, doing puzzles, and reading. She was also an active member of the Church of Christ in Webster, WI, and the church women’s group the Glory Risers.

Karen is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Phelps, Jr.; sons, George III, Thomas, and Travis Phelps; grandchildren, Raelyn and Brandon; great-grandchild, Brooklyn; and sisters, Connie (John) Audette and Carol (Ron) Buechner; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Roberta Richardson, and grandson, Tristan Phelps.

Visitation for Karen will be held on Friday, May 16 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI.
