Funeral services for Katherine M. Woelber, age 81, of George, formerly of Boyden who passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society in George. Her funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the United Presbyterian Church in Boyden with Pastor Brian Schafer, officiating.
Burial will be at Sheridan Township Cemetery in Boyden.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 P.M. on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden.

KATHERINE M. WOELBER
Katherine Martha Woelber the daughter of Marinus and Jenny(Burgers) Louwerse was born May 16, 1943 in Sioux Center, Iowa. She received her education in Sioux Center graduating from Sioux Center, High School. On September 14, 1962, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Woelber in Sioux Center, Iowa. After their marriage the couple began married life in Boyden, Iowa before moving to Inwood, Iowa. The couple made their home in George, Iowa before returning to Boyden where they resided for many years. Katherine raised her children before being employed at the egg plant near Boyden and later at the Greenhouse which she enjoyed. Katherine entered the Good Samaritan Society in George, Iowa in September of 2019. She passed away there on Friday October 4, 2024, reaching the age of 81 years 4 months and 18 days.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Boyden. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, painting, reading as well as spending time with family.
Katherine is survived by her husband of 62 years William “Bill” Woelber of George, Iowa; children Wanda (Bob) Brands of Boyden, Iowa; Kevin (Lynnette) Woelber of Steen, Minnesota and Korey (Stacie) Woelber of Boyden, Iowa also 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and one brother Lou (Marilyn) Louwerse of Cedar Rapids, Iowa also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
