Kathleen (Rull) Chrisom of South Weymouth, passed peacefully at Tufts Medical Center on April 24, 2025, she was 66 years old.
Kate was the devoted wife of 36 years to Peter J. Chrisom, Jr. She was also the loving and supportive mother of Peter L. Chrisom of Quincy. Daughter of the late William and Eileen Rull. Sister of Rosemary Burgess and her husband Steven of Plainville. Sister-in-law of Patricia McCart of Braintree, Sean Chrisom and his wife Faith of Chatham, Susan deVarennes of Marshfield, Brian Chrisom of Boston, Brendan Chrisom and his wife Karen of West Yarmouth, Maureen Berry and her husband Chris of Marshfield, and Kevin Chrisom and his wife Amy of Milton. She was a loving cousin to Annmarie Booth of Wareham and a very close friend to Lisa Duddy and her two sons Matty and
Johnny, whom she mentored through their school years. Kate was also a great and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Kate graduated from Fontbonne Academy in Milton and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Northeastern University. She went on to begin her teaching career at St. Kevin’s School in Dorchester and later went on to St. Francis Xavier in Weymouth She was especially proud of her work as a Catholic school teacher, where she shared her faith, values, and knowledge with the many children she taught. Before pursuing her passion for teaching, Kate worked as a sales representative at Filene’s. During her summers, she also worked at St. Coletta’s in Braintree, where she met the love of her life, Peter.
After retiring from teaching, Kate continued nurturing young minds at Just Right Child Care in Weymouth . She cared for the Zbyszewski family of five children — Natalie, Anne, Evelyn, Daniel, and Jack — a role that truly epitomized her nurturing spirit and deep love for children.
Outside of her professional life, Kate was an avid reader and enjoyed participating in her book clubs. She cherished her time spent with her "beach buddies" on Cape Cod.
Kate’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Tufts Medical Center for the exceptional care they provided.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kate may be made to St. Francis Xavier School, 234 Pleasant St., S. Weymouth, MA 02190
