Kathleen Laderach Obituary

Kathleen Mae Kemritz or Kathy as she was referred to was born on February 19, 1946, in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of three children born to the union of Victor Kemritz and Hilda (Freimark) Kemritz. Kathy attended Mason High School in Erie, Michigan, graduating with the class of 1964.
On Saturday June 6, 1964, at her soon to be father in laws house in Luna Pier, Michigan Kathy would marry the love of her life, Mr. Rudy Laderach, together the couple would be blessed with two beautiful daughters; Shawna and Yvonne.
Kathy never embarked on a formal career but took great pride in being a loving mother and wife, a task she took very seriously. Kathy was blessed with a green thumb and treasured spending time outdoors whether she was tending to one of her flower gardens, weeding, cutting the grass or growing the abundance of vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini or different variations of peppers for her family to enjoy. She had a zest for life with a very competitive side that always made her the life of the party. She loved solving jigsaw puzzles, playing board games like Parcheesi and Lawn Jarts and would never turn down a good card game whether it was poker, cribbage or any other game. She loved to sing and dance and during karaoke she wasn't afraid to grab the microphone and start performing "I did it my way." Kathy and Rudy loved to travel and was fortunate to have visited every state with the exception of Hawaii. Although Kathy loved spending time in Alaska visiting her daughter, Montana was her favorite destination.
Kathleen Mae "Kathy" Laderach, age 79 of Erie, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 11, 2025, at St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Her passing was preceded by her parents; Victor and Hilda Kemritz; one brother; Terry Kemritz; her brother-in-law; Roger Purcell and sister-in-law; Betty Kemritz.
To cherish Kathy's memory, she leaves behind her loving husband of sixty-one years; Rudy Laderach of Erie, Michigan; two daughters; Shawna (Cerena Banks) Laderach of Fairbanks, Alaska and Yvonne (Mike Dmytryszyn) Lynch of Taylor, Michigan; her sister; Linda Purcell; one sister-in-law; Nancy Kemritz and several nieces and nephews.
No public services are planned at this time; Kathy's care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, Erie, 9156 Summit Street, Erie, Michigan 48133. (734)317-719. Cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
