Obituary provided by family
A memorial service for Kathleen (Kathy) Ann Stewart, aged 62, of Wills Point, Texas and Chicago, Illinois, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Mullin Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point, with Lukas Knifong officiating. Mrs. Stewart passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her residence in Chicago, Illinois, due to natural causes.
Born November 1, 1962, in Lubbock, Texas, Kathy was the daughter of George and Velma Gibson and the youngest of four children. She was raised in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, cherishing time spent with her siblings and nieces and nephews. On May 14, 1988, she married Jeffrey (Jeff) Stewart in Dallas, and on November 26, 1994, welcomed their daughter Rachel Ann Stewart. The family relocated to Wills Point in 2003, where they shared many joyful years together.
Kathy enjoyed dancing, studying scripture, and hosting gatherings for family and friends, always extending warmth and hospitality to both Jeff's and later Rachel's friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Velma Gibson; her husband, Jeff Stewart; her niece, Paige Knifong; and her nephew, Paul Knifong.
Kathy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Joe Willis; her siblings and their spouses, Barbara and James Barnett, Carolynne and David Priore, and George and Sharon Gibson; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
