Kathleen (Kathy) Waits, 77, of Godley, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024. She was born on January 25, 1947, in Crofton, Nebraska, to Raymond and Anna Schmidt.
Kathy married Kenneth Waits on December 4, 1965. She worked as a secretary at Holy Name Catholic School for about 10 years. She later became a sales correspondent at Leaman Container and Green Bay Packaging, where she worked for over 20 years. Following this, she served as the Director of the Crofton Housing Authority for 12 years.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoyed playing bingo, visiting casinos, crocheting, and needlepoint.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Waits; her mother, Anna Peitz; her father, Raymond Schmidt; and her step-grandson, Justin Harmon.
Kathy is survived by her three daughters: Cynthia Ishmael and her partner, Keith Peacock; Pamela Waits Gomez and her husband, Johnny; and Melinda Smith. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Tammy Belt.
She is also survived by 5 grandkids, 12 great grandkids, 3 step grandkids and 9 step great grandkids.
