Wright, Kathleen J. (Kavish) “Dolly”, 92, Cassville, passed away Monday June 23, 2025, at Geisinger Hospital, Danville. Born June 25, 1932, Bessemer, Michigan, daughter of the late William P. and Kathryn M. (Giacherio) Kavish. She was united in marriage to Nick Vestich on August 4, 1951, at the Christ the King Church in Ramsay, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Wright later married Walter Glenn Wright in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He survives at home in Cassville. Also survived by daughters, Cynthia Shade and husband, Paul, Huntingdon; and Ginger Lane, Coventry, Rhode Island; 2 granddaughters, Ashley Shade, Huntingdon; and Niki Thomas and husband, Matt, Three Springs; 2 grandsons, Jamie Rodgers, Jacksonville, Florida; and Chad Vestich, Huntingdon; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; stepchildren, Derek Wright and wife, Sue; Scott Wright and wife, Carol; and Betsy Whitsel and husband, Mark, along with their children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Lee Vestich. Mrs. Wright graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer, Michigan, where she began her secretarial career as secretary for the Superintendent of the School District. Later she would work as secretary to 2 prominent lawyers. Upon moving to Huntingdon County, she became employed as Executive Secretary to the Chief Executive Officer of J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. She would serve this post for 7 consecutive Chief Executive Officers for the hospital. She retired in 1995 after 25 years of diligent service. During that period, she was presented with multiple Secretary of the Year awards by the Huntingdon business community. She and her husband were chairpersons of the 5k run held yearly in Cassville in conjunction with the Cassville Oktoberfest for 17 years. Proceeds from the event went directly to local volunteer fire companies. In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, all funeral arrangements will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
