Kathryn Huffman of Hurst, Texas passed away on July 4th, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born on July 3rd, 1959, in Sikeston, Missouri to James and Lena Wood.

Kathryn lived her pre-adult life in Sikeston, Missouri, before moving to Dallas in 1977. Later she would return to Sikeston for good, she thought. In 1996 she happened to be in Dallas and met her future husband, Earl Huffman. They were married on January 31st, 1997, and they enjoyed life to its fullest, until her death. Kathryn battled cancer for 5 years, but never let it rule her life. She was the strongest woman her husband has ever known. She was a medical coder for 24 years at Healthcare Associates, retiring in September of 2024.

Kathryn is survived by her husband of the home, a son Dustin Blake Kutos and wife Rachel of Euless, TX, daughter Alana Huffman McAnally and husband Jimmy of Edmond OK. Five granddaughters Haleigh Masciocchi and husband Nick, Elizabeth McAnally, Leah McAnally, Camille Kutos, Remy Kutos, and great-grandson Leo Masciocchi. Kathryn had five sister, Debby Dewitt and husband Todd, Marcia Duncan and husband Brad, Susan Dillender and husband David, and Rosemary Heeb and husband Scott. She also had an aunt, Linda McNamara and husband Larry. She also had many nieces and nephews. Stephanie Ilkhanipour, Andy Lomax, Craig Duncan, Lindley Smolinski, Jordan Dillender, Hunter Dillender, Ryan Davis, Lauren Davis, Chad Wright, Cortney Lovett, and Cayla Wright. Kathryn's entire family knew how very much she loved them, because she showed and told them all the time.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A celebration of her life will be held for the family, at her sister's lake house in Kentucky on July 26th. Kathryn would have requested that you not dwell on her death, but to LOVE your family everyday as if it were your last day.
