Seneca – Kathryn "Kay" May Arnold Hagerman, 89, loving wife of the late Carl Joseph Hagerman Sr., passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Born on May 19, 1936, in Blairstown, New Jersey, Kay was the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Smith Arnold. Kay retired from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, where she worked to improve the health and well-being of others. She was a member of St. Mark Methodist Church. She loved to laugh and read books, she loved her husband dearly, and her four children were her life's joy. Enjoy life it is short lived.
Kay is survived by her children, Carl Hagerman Jr. (Brenda), Susan Arnst (Bud), John Hagerman (Lisa), Lori Comunal (Chad); 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Kay is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
She was privately entombed beside her husband at Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kay's memory may be made to Family Hospice, 1312 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
