Kathryn Dian Robello, affectionately known as "Kitty," passed away suddenly on January 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 29, 1944, Kitty grew up in San Leandro, California, where she graduated from San Leandro High School.
Kitty met the love of her life, Albert Robello, while he was attending a Bishop O'Dowd Catholic high school in Oakland. Their love story spanned over six decades, culminating in 61 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories in both Fremont and Manteca, California.
Kitty is survived by her devoted husband, Albert Robello of Manteca; her children, Christine Rocha of Modesto, Jane Johnson (husband Brian) of Weston Ranch, John Robello (Renee) of Manteca, and Peter Robello of Manteca; her grandchildren, Ashleigh (husband Alex), J.C. (wife Lydia), Scott, Lauren (husband Adam), James, Cory (wife Cypress), Hannah, Brittney, and Kathryn (Devon); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Lily, Layla, Grayson, Arya, and Mateo. She is also survived by her siblings, Suzi Krouscas, Sandra Kendall, Rod Dekett, and Lawrence Cappuccio, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored her.
Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Rene Cappuccio, and her sister, Rachael.
Kitty had a passion for music that she carried throughout her life. She worked for the San Francisco Music Box Company, where she delighted in assembling music boxes, a craft that reflected her deep love for melodies of all genres. Her admiration for musicals and icons like Barbra Streisand brought her endless joy.
A social butterfly, Kitty never met a stranger and lit up every room she entered. She was deeply involved in her children's lives, volunteering with the PTA and supporting sports teams as a dedicated team mom while Albert coached basketball and baseball.
Lake Tahoe was her second home, where she loved to gamble and play Keno. In her downtime, Kitty enjoyed crocheting, watching her favorite shows, and embracing life's simple pleasures. Above all, her family was her greatest treasure.
Kitty's warm spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
