A beautiful soul has gained her angel wings. On Tuesday, July 8th, Kathy R. Bowman passed peacefully at the James Cancer Center surrounded by her husband and children.
She has gone to meet both her parents, Raymond Roberts and Anna Mae (Jenkins) Roberts and her uncle, Gene Jenkins, who preceded her in joining the Lord.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Danny Bowman of Lima; two children, Kristen Rempfer of Lima, and Bryan (Sam) Bowman of Spencerville; five grandchildren, Chase Rempfer, and Caden Fromm, and Kollin, Evan, and Adley Bowman; six sisters, Linda C. Boyer, Ann F. Roberts, Karen K. (Allan) Saghi, Peggy L. (Joe) Damele, Becky L. (Will) Breeden, and Debby L. (William) Cumbow; and cousin, Terry Tussing.
Kathy was an amazingly gifted sewer and crafter. She enjoyed baking delicious themed birthday cakes every year for each of her grandchildren. She also loved relaxing at the campgrounds and boating with friends and family. It's impossible to put into words how such a beautiful, caring person touched so many different lives.
There will be a private Celebration of Life held at the Allen County, Lauer Historical Park, 800 Roush Rd. This is where Kathy was raised, and the farm always held a special place in her heart.
There are no goodbyes, only "see you later". Forever in our hearts and an angel by our sides, our love for you will only grow stronger.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Ohio State University - James Cancer Center, 460 W. 10th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210.
Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
