Mrs. Kathy Diane (Averitte) Culbreth, 74, of Fayetteville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Lebanon Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Knight and Reverend Tommy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Judson Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayetteville.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
Mrs. Culbreth was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of Lynn Averitte and Jewel Hayes Averitte. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Culbreth; a granddaughter, Addison Culbreth; a sister, Karen Johnson; and a brother, Kelly Averitte.
She is survived by two children, Tara Seward and husband Greg of Lovettesville, VA, and Chris Culbreth and wife Kristy of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Grayden Culbreth, Bryson Seward, Cole Seward, Elijah Seward, and Luke Seward; a niece, Meredith Southern and husband Dennis; and a nephew, Wesley Averitte and wife Jessica.
The family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice Care staff, especially Chanda, for the love and care shown to Mrs. Culbreth and her family.
