Kathy M. Leatherwood, age 74, of Woodstock, Alabama passed away Friday, May 16th, 2025 at UAB Medical West surrounded by family. Kathy was born July 9th, 1950 in Centreville, Alabama. She spent many years living in Adamsville, Alabama while working in the bank industry. After raising her two children, she moved to Woodstock, Alabama and started working full time as a Real Estate Agent. She eventually opened her business, Klassey Realty where she remained until the time of her death. Klassey Realty was her pride and joy. She loved selling homes and getting her clients in their forever homes. Outside of work, she loved being outside in her yard all the time while getting a tan, she loved Elvis and collected all types of Elvis memorabilia, and she loved to spend every waking moment with her beloved Sadie.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Angie Oglesby (Shane), son Casey Hubbard (Carol), brother David McKinney (Terrie), grandchildren Alexa Oglesby and Ava Oglesby, and Payton King (Kyle), in addtion to great-grandchildren Knox and Tally King, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Leatherwood and her parents Clifton and Velma McKinney.
Visitation will be held at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathy's memory to the American Cancer Society or The Humane Society of your choice.
