Katie A. Miller, 92, of Goshen, died at 8:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at Waterford Crossing Health Center, Goshen.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1932, in LaGrange, to Irvin and Mary (Lee) Weaver.
On May 7, 1950, in Kempsville, Virginia, she married Lloyd D. Miller; he died June 19, 2012.
Surviving are two children, Mary (Edward) Hackman and Steve (Kimberly) Miller, both of Goshen; granddaughter, Keia (Ryan) Piper; four great-grandchildren, Lilly, Kimberly, Rosemary and Ryan Jr. Piper; sister-in-law, Martha Weaver of Quaker City, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Mary Alice Lennon and Irene Yoder; and six brothers, William, Vernon, Mahlon, Clarence, Wilmer and Edwin Weaver.
Katie had worked at Moore's Hardware and Newberry's dime store in Goshen, then at Keene Machine in Middlebury. She later retired from Case in Goshen She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Middlebury. Katie enjoyed baking, gardening, reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and playing bingo.
There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor David Eaton. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen, at a later date.
