Kelly Hough Obituary

Kelly Shamenia Hough, affectionately known as "Kel," was born on July 9, 1985 in Camden, South Carolina, to Wilma Faye Hough and Ernest King. She entered into eternal rest on July 1, 2025, at her home.
Kelly was always a beautiful, energetic, high-spirited, and loving person. She never met a stranger and touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her fun-loving and bright personality was contagious, and she brightened every room with her sweet, genuine spirit.
Kelly received her early education in Kershaw County Schools, and in 2003 she graduated from North Central High School. After high school, she attended Lander University until 2007. Once she returned home she worked a number of jobs including Kershaw County School District as an interventionist and substitute and jobs in retail/sales.
In 2014 Kelly began pursuing a career in Cosmetology and Barbering, which was her passion. In 2018 she received her license as a Master Hair Care Specialist after attending Neecie's College of Barbering, and worked at Big J's Barber Shop in Bethune, SC until her passing.
Kelly was a ray of sunshine, and her light always shined so bright! She loved her family and community. She was always very independent, courageous, and outspoken.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Wilma Faye Hough, of the home; her father, Ernest King of McBee, SC; sister, Sonetra Hubbard (Desi) of Cassatt, SC; brother, Eric Linton of Florence, SC; three nieces, Kierra Linton, Nimare Dixon, Erikah Linton, and Malayah Hubbard; one nephew, Eli Hubbard; one great niece, Paisleigh Jackson; ten aunts; four uncles; four great aunts; one great uncle; and a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends.
