KELLY J. STEVENS
Kelly James Stevens, the son of Kenneth and Marlene (Dagel) Stevens was born on May 19, 1960, in Sheldon, Iowa. He received his education in Primghar, graduating from Primghar High School in 1978. He was united in marriage to Julie Giese on December 11, 1981, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland. He worked at Wal-Mart in Spencer as a receiving manager. After his retirement he worked as a meat processor for the Remsen Locker and for Friedrichsen Locker in Sutherland. Kelly passed away at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon reaching the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 8 days.
Kelly enjoyed music as he was in two bands, Band Crisis and Firewire. He also enjoyed bass fishing and working in his yard.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Julie of Primghar; two sons, Matt (Carrissa Wemme) Stevens and Derek Stevens; granddaughter, Emerson Wemme; two dogs, Daisy and Ginger; four sisters, Marcia Mettler, LaDona Kolasch, Charla Nelson and Shelli (Tom) Raymond; also other relatives and friends.
Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marlene, his parents-in-law, Janet Pringle and Gus Giese, and a sister in infancy, Rhonda.
