Kendall Cash
Mr. Kendall Wayne Cash of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born August 18, 1939, the son of Shelby and Clara (Bolin) Cash.
Mr. Cash was a 1955 graduate of Newark High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business from Arkansas College, then continued his education at Arkansas State University, where he graduated with a Master of Education degree in 1965.
Mr. Kendall Cash married Miss Linda Henley on June 11, 1965, and they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage together.
Mr. Cash was a teacher and coach until his retirement in 1995. During summer breaks, he could be found farming.
He was passionate about history and particularly enjoyed sharing knowledge with his students. During his life, Mr. Cash traveled to all 50 states, ensuring he visited several historical sites.
Mr. Cash enjoyed scroll woodworking, watching and attending Arkansas Razorback events, and had a great love for animals. He especially cherished the time he spent with his family.
Mr. Cash was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was an active member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ, where he served as the song leader and Sunday school teacher for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda (Henley) Cash of the home; one son, Chris Cash and wife, Holly of Newark; two grandchildren, Bryce Cash and wife, Maranda of Cave City, and Keely Cash of Conway; one great-grandchild, Rilynn Stormo of Cave City; a cousin, Linda Cash of Lubbock, Texas; many other family members, and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Sunday, July 6, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at Jackson's Newark Funeral Home Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers are Troy Henley, Bud Henley, Melvin Henley, Don Henley, Jerry Henderson, and Murvelee Crigler.
