Kendra Kay (Lang) Taplin, 51, of Athens, Illinois, peacefully passed away at home on June 3, 2025.
On July 27, 1996, Kendra married Quinn Taplin, and together they built a beautiful family in Athens, Illinois. Kendra devoted her life to caring for others and raising her children: Alaina Taplin of California, Nora Taplin of California, Joel Henderson, Joelle Henderson, Jennifer Love, and Mickey Henderson.
Kendra was the beloved daughter of Robert and Adri Lang of Denver, Iowa, and the sister of Kayla Sinclair of New Brunswick. She was also a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews who will forever treasure their memories with her.
Kendra made a career of nurturing and educating her children while extending her caring heart to neighbors and friends in need. In recent years, she found joy working at a local flower shop.
Her passions included gardening, reading books, and tending to her beloved animals—dogs, cats, chickens, and goats. Above all, Kendra loved the Lord and devoted her life to knowing Him better each day, living out her faith through service to others and unwavering devotion to her family.
Kendra's legacy lives on in the many lives she touched, the children she raised, and the countless acts of kindness she shared with her community. Her generous heart and steadfast faith will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to be forwarded to Prevention and Healing Inc, in Kendra's memory.
