Kenneth William Barton, a man of spirited disposition and charismatic presence, departed this world on July 13, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in the quaint town of Harlan, KY, on December 18, 1956, to the late Burley Lee Barton and Nancy Jane Lewis Barton, Kenneth lived a life marked by adventure and the company of a loving family.
A lifelong resident of Kentucky, Kenneth made a name for himself as a skilled horseman in his younger years. Kenneth's boundless energy led him to form countless friendships, all nourished by his infectious laughter and penchant for celebration. His love for good times was emblematic of his enthusiastic spirit, with his fondness for cigarettes and beer complementing many a social gathering.
He is survived by his three children, Burley (Penelope) Barton, Krystal Marie Long, and Nancy Lynn Long, who will carry forward his legacy of joy and passion for life. Eleven cherished grandchildren-Leanna, Chelsea, Cody, Olivia, Victoria, Jose, Ernesto, Destiny, Angelica, Antonio, and Kristin-will forever hold dear the tales and memories shared with their grandfather. His two great-grandchildren, Theodore and Madeline, though young, will grow up to learn of his zest for life and love for his family. Kenneth's sister, Dovie Smith, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, remains to honor his memory.
Time may pass, but the tales of Kenneth's love for a grand celebration will resonate eternally. A man described as adventurous and interesting, he lived fully, embracing each moment with unbridled enthusiasm and an open heart. The community will remember him as a spirited soul who approached life with a rare blend of gusto and casual grace.
As we bid farewell to Kenneth William Barton, we do so with gratitude for his laughter, his stories, and the countless moments of joy he brought into our lives. His memory will continue to be a source of inspiration and comfort to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday July 16, 2025, at the M.E. Pruitt Funeral Home, 303 Main St., Millersburg, KY by Bro. Wayne Tolson. Burial to follow in the Millersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Wednesday July 16, 2025 until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Burley Barton, Cody Barton, Ernesto Gonzalez, Jose Aguilar and Kristin Garcia.
