My little Brother- you left way too early. You'll never know how much you're missed already and will be forever. It's not fair that you won't be able to continue building your dream home with Wendy and enjoy everything that you worked so hard for for so long. I'm so proud to have you as my brother. I've enjoyed every single minute I spent with you. I wish there was going to be more. You are in my heart and on my mind every day, and of course I won't be able to eat pizza ever again without thinking of you.

Condolences to Kenn's wife and the entire Figueroa Family. Was very sad to learn of his passing.
Kenn and I were classmates at Vista Mar kindergarten, Our Lady of Mercy Grammar School and Westmoor High. His father, Julio, was our little league baseball coach. Kenn was our catcher while I played shortstop.
The Figueroas were a great family and known for many things including their pet iguana which they'd bring to school from time to time. Both our fathers were officers in the San Francisco Fire Department for many years and it was great to learn Kenn followed his dad by becoming a member of the fire service for many years.
Kenn was a solid student and avid reader. At least in grammar school, it seemed like he always was reading a book. He also had a very dry and enjoyable sense of humor. There were many times in 6th grade, for example, Kenn would have the class laughing much to the displeasure of Sister Lorreto.
After high school I lost touch with Kenn for a couple of years and then to my surprise, I bumped into him in the halls at Cal Poly. Because he'd won the California State High School Rodeo title, and being that Cal Poly was a national college rodeo power, Kenn was recruited to rodeo for the Mustangs.
As happens in life, we again lost touch following college and when asking where he landed, I was told Kenn moved on to pursue opportunities in professional rodeo.
What is truly sad, due to his significant accomplishments in high school and college rodeo, only weeks ago, and unbeknownst to Kenn, his resume was submitted to the selection committee of the Daly City Sports Hall of Fame. If inducted, he would for certain be the first rodeo champion in the Hall of Fame which is filled with baseball, football and basketball players including Daly City's NFL Hall of Fame Coach and fellow Cal Poly alum, John Madden.
Rest in Peace Kenn. Go Mustangs!
