Kenneth "Keith" Mizer, son of Ward and Ruby (Carroll) Mizer, was born September 27, 1943, and departed this life, July 28, 2025, at his home in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years.

On February 25, 1961, Keith was united in marriage with Iva Louise Bryant. Together they shared sixty-two years of love and memories while raising their only son, Rick. Iva Louise preceded Keith in death on March 24, 2023.

Keith was no stranger to hard work. He was an expert Farrier, well thought of and sought after for his unmatched skill, for the majority of his life. He traveled all over the world hoof trimming and shoeing horses. He was employed with Walt Disney Studios for many years, as their Farrier and had the privilege of meeting many celebrities during that time.

Keith also enjoyed horse shows, especially Ava Foxtrotter Horse Show, which he attended twice a year. He was meticulous about his yard and enjoyed mowing his lawn. He enjoyed the quiet time. However, time spent and memories made with family, friends and his dog, "Cowboy" is what he most treasured.

He is survived by four grandchildren, Brandon Lee Mizer, Katelyn Mizer and her fiancée, Dustin Moore, Brittany Roden and her husband Wade and Katelyn Pogue; six great-grandchildren, Tinslea, Lyla, Karter, Wyatt, Blair and Broc; several nieces and nephews; his constant side-kick, his dog, "Cowboy"; other relatives and many friends.

Those preceding him in death include his parents; his wife, Iva Louise; son, Rick Mizer; four brothers, Kenneth Carroll, Jackie Mizer, Clyde Mizer and Billy Mizer; and three sisters, Juanita Sheets, Mary Angst and Joann Whiteley.

Keith was well respected by his family and peers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorials have been suggested to Keith's family to help with the funeral expenses.

Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel's Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N. Lynn, Lebanon, MO 65536.
