SERVICE INFORMATION:
Dr. Kenneth D. Rodabaugh, 95, of Tabor, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Tabor Manor. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Shriner's Hospital.
OBITUARY:
Dr. Kenneth Dale Rodabaugh was born May 24, 1929, in Omaha, Nebraska, to William Harlow and Helen Louise (Kuehn) Rodabaugh Jr. He entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2025, at the Tabor Manor in Tabor, Iowa, at the age of 95 years.
He grew up in Glenwood, Iowa, and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1946. Kenneth then attended the University of Nebraska Medical College and graduated in 1952. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army, serving in Korea from 1953-1954, and then in the reserves with rank of Captain.
On September 7, 1952, Kenneth was united in marriage to Lois Louise Dado in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple then resided in Tabor, Iowa, where he was a Doctor of Medicine from 1954 until his retirement in 1989. Dr. Rodabaugh was the Chief of Staff for the Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa, and delivered more than 2,000 babies during his time there.
Outside of playing the piano, there was little time left for hobbies. He dedicated all of his time to his practice and supporting his family. He was a member of the Congregational Church as well as the Shriners and was a 33rd Degree Mason.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Helen Rodabaugh Jr; and his wife, Lois Louise Rodabaugh. Survivors include his three sons, Kenneth D. Rodabaugh II of Tabor, Iowa; William H. Rodabaugh III of Tabor, Iowa; and David F. Rodabaugh of Tucson, Arizona; granddaughter, Danielle Markussen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; great grandson, Finley Markussen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
