Kenya Batey was born September 22, 1981, in Idabel, Oklahoma to Frank and Flo Batey of Harris Oklahoma.
Kenya was introduced to Christ at an early age and was baptized in 1990. He
was an active member of Truth Church in Denison, Texas. Kenya attended Haworth High
School and was a graduate of the 2000 Class. Kenya then furthered his education at Southeast
ern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma, where he was a graduate of the 2004 Class.
Kenya started his career as an Insurance Agent in 2008-2024. Kenya then advanced his career
with Choctaw Nations Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, where he was an Executive Host.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Narcissus Owens and paternal grandparents J.B.
and Mattie Batey. He is survived by his parents Frank and Flo Batey. Family to cherish his mem
Ory are L.D. and Laura Bagsby of DeKalb, Texas; Joe Ann Batey of Harris, Oklahoma; Lutricia
and Dr. Vincent of Minnesota; Eddie and Danette Batey of Foreman, Arkansas; Jimmie McDeters
and Bobby Owens of Clarksville, Texas; Frances Moss of Idabel, Oklahoma; Corene Owens
of Minnesota; Wyoming Smith of California; Marvin and Thomas Moore of Harris, Oklahoma.
and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
His Funeral is set for 11:00 am Saturday on February 1,2025, at the Haworth First Assembly of God (107 S Elm Street Haworth, Oklahoma 74740)
