Kenzie Leo Constantine, age 87, passed away in his home in Pioche surrounded by loved ones on April 14, 2025. Kenzie was born and raised in Britton, South Dakota. After graduating from high school in Britton, he attended college at Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. While there, Kenzie joined the Army, where he spent three and a half years serving as a paratrooper with a tour of duty in Korea. Kenzie returned to college after serving in the Army and received his associate's degree in physical education.

In 1962, Kenzie moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he joined the Clark County Fire Department. He rose in rank quickly and retired as a captain/battalion chief in 1987. During this time, Kenzie owned Home Bar Supply for many years and spent much of the 1970’s racing cars at Craig Road Speedway and other racetracks throughout the Western states. Kenzie remained in Las Vegas until moving to Pioche in 1999.

He is proceeded in death by his by his father, Russell Constantine, and mother, Evelyn Ellestad Constantine, his wife of 37 years, Barbara (Beane) Constantine, his brothers Terry and Bobby, as well as the mother of his children, Gloria Schneider. He is survived by his three children, daughter Dawn Ward (Steven), daughter Jamie DeTrano (Bob), and son Travis Constantine (Ronny). He is also survived by his sister Audrey and brother Don, 6 grandchildren, great granddaughter, as well as nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members from various states.

Services and interment will be held May 15, 2025, at 11:20 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. Final arrangements are under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary. Online condolences may be shared at www.southernnevadamortuary.com.
