In Loving Memory of Karen Shafi February 11, 1983 – May 30, 2025

Keren Shafi, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in Plano, Texas, at the age of 42. Born on February 11, 1983, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Karen moved to the United States with her family in 1985 and built a life full of passion, love, and quiet strength.

Keren was a proud and dedicated employee of State Farm, where she poured her talents into her work. Outside of work, Keren's life was full of color and excitement. She had a deep love for music and cherished going to concerts. Her vibrant sense of style and passion for fashion were unmistakable — she was always effortlessly herself. She was also a true car enthusiast, especially proud of her Mitsubishi 3000GT and Evo X, which brought her great joy.

Keren's heart belonged to her family. She is survived by her beloved son, Tyler, who was her world and the reason she kept fighting. She also leaves behind her devoted parents, Nazir and Sam Shafi; her loving brother, Soneel Shafi; her sister-in-law, Huma Shafi — whom she often called "the best sister-in-law ever" — and her cherished nephews, Malachi and Noah Shafi. Karen was preceded in death by beloved family members who now welcome her home.

Keren’s life was a miracle in so many ways. Her resilience, love, and unwavering faith left a lasting imprint on those who knew her. She lived by the words of Psalm 91, a chapter that brought her comfort and strength throughout her life.

To her dear son Tyler — Keren wanted nothing more than to live for you. And now, even though she is no longer physically present, she will live through you and all who love you. Her memory, her laughter, and her love will carry on in the hearts of those who knew her best.
