Kevin Keeter was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 14, 1958, to Jack Purdy Keeter and Judith Ann (Jones) Keeter. He passed away at home on June 28, 2025, in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
He grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Edison High School. During high school, Kevin found his love of foosball. Kevin was one Oklahoma's greatest players and was loved by everyone that he met across the table. He was a three-time world champion (open singles in 1985, open mixed doubles in 1986 and open doubles in 1991). In 2019, he was inducted into the National Foosball Hall of Fame and in 2022, he was inducted into the Oklahoma Foosball Hall of Fame.
Kevin and Carla were married October 5, 1991, until September 12, 1996. Later they reconnected and remarried April 6, 2019, until Kevin passed away. They remarried in Las Vegas, Nevada during a trip for Kevin's induction ceremony to the Hall of Fame.
Life changed drastically for Kevin on May 26, 2021, when he had a stroke. He did his best to continue to live his life with grace and dignity with his disabilities. He was still able to watch Nascar and come out to a few foosball tournaments to hang out.
Even though he loved watching races, golf and foosball, his greatest love was his family. Kevin played the saxophone in high school band. When DJ signed up for band in the 6th grade playing the clarinet, Kevin and DJ really found a new common interest. Now, DJ is in the 9th grade in the marching band. DJ and Carla know that Kevin will be proudly watching DJ from his seat in Heaven. Carla and Kevin enjoyed watching all the Law & Order series, FBI and various other cop shows, as well as celebrating birthdays and anniversaries at their favorite restaurant, El Chico.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife Carla, daughter, Stephanie Keeter and three grandsons, DJ and Rueben Keeter and Thomas Nave VI. Kevin has two-stepsons, Jesse and Ben Rothhammer. He is also survived by his Uncle Phil Keeter, nieces and nephews, and cousins. And many, many friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by Jack Keeter (father), Judith Keeter (mother), Valerie Keeter (sister) and Mark Keeter (brother).
