Kevin L. Provoast, age 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 10, 2025. He was born on February 27, 1956, to Clarence and Joycelyn (Luxton) Provoast in West Branch, MI. He married Toni Grabow on August 26, 1983. They spent 41 years traveling and having fun with their family. Kevin worked for National Gypsum for over 40 years, retiring in 2019. He loved the outdoors and working with his wife on their asparagus farm Stinky P's which they started in 2008 after he sold his cattle. He also enjoyed skiing and motorcycles. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners and the Lions Club.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 41 years Toni, his children; Angie (JJ) King and Kyle (Karys) Provoast, grandchildren; Thatcher, Aven, Atley, Porter, and Prynn, brother Dennis (Debbie) Provoast, sister Nadine Volz, sister and brother in laws; Skip (Nikki) Grabow, Sheri Williams, Terry (Brenda) Grabow, Charlie (Debbie) Grabow, Jacki (Ed Cody)Grabow, Jeri (Garry) Wetter and Michael Palumbo and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Joe Dee Palumbo. A special thank you to his good friends Rob and Alyson, Luke and Margaret, and Jeff and Karen. Also, Compassus Hospice nurses Leslie, Autumn, and Jaime, and the tribe at Friends Together.
A memorial luncheon will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Whittemore Chamber Hall. Memorial contributions can be made to the Friends Together Cancer support group.
